FITZ PHONE
Telephone · Megaphone · AM Radio
FITZ PHONE is a telephone / megaphone / AM-radio voice-conditioning plugin built on an emerald-and-brass Irish console. Run any audio through classic analogue-style filtering for three iconic characters: the intimacy of a phone line, the authority of a bullhorn, or the nostalgia of an AM wireless crackling through the fog.
The faceplate is inspired by the grand consoles of Brian Boru's era — Celtic knotwork corners, glowing brass knobs, and an ON AIR lamp that ignites the moment audio flows. The DSP is anything but vintage: hand-tuned band-limiting filters and real-time automation — with 4× oversampling whose group delay is reported to your DAW so it compensates exactly.
Three Characters
- ☎ Telephone — 300Hz–3.4kHz POTS band-limit, mid honk, gentle soft-clip
- 📢 Megaphone — Narrow resonant mid band ~1.7kHz, driven hard for bullhorn bark
- 📻 AM Radio — Wider band, amplitude-modulation tremolo, dial-able static hiss
- Drive knob — pre-filter soft saturation, bites harder in Megaphone mode
- Tone — brightens top end, shifts resonant mid peak
- Static — filtered noise for wireless crackle character
- Mix — wet/dry blend for parallel processing
- True ON AIR / BYPASS switch with visual indicator lamp
